Abstract

To ensure that the public space around the Tacoma Dome Station is designed to be established as an inclusive and dynamic destination that promotes pedestrian activity and enhances the character of the Dome District.

CHALLENGES IMPACTING THE GOAL:

  • Lack of infrastructure encouraging pedestrian interaction and synergy
  • Areas with neglected public space that are lacking pedestrian connectivity
  • Lack of spatial expression of local identity and character
