Abstract
The article offers information on social bookmarking, the practice of creating a user-generated tags or keywords of Web content. Users can attach these tags to particular content and can create their own pages of bookmarks sorted by the keywords that they assigned. The author explains that social bookmarking websites are gaining popularity among Internet users because of the ease of categorizing and searching for information on the Web. Cited as an example is the site http://del.icio.us, which allows users to discover sets of tags developed by other users.
