Abstract

The management and dissemination of agricultural experimentstation and cooperative extension documents have been a challengefor over 100 years. Digitization of these documents, as wellas the standardization and public dissemination that such projectscan provide, represent both additional obstacles and possible solutionsfor addressing these challenges. The authors survey the currentlandscape of digital collections for agricultural experiment stationand cooperative extension documents, after which they present arecent, efficient digitization project at the University of Idaho Libraryas a possible template for other institutions looking to digitizesimilar documents.
